What is the difference between a billing profile and a provider account?

A provider is your branded seller workspace on Komashi — a subdomain with its own services, customers, users, and a single set of legal billing details. If you need to run multiple brands, you create multiple providers.

A billing profile is something different and lives on the customer side: it is a billing identity your end customers keep in the storefront (name, country, VAT number, address), and each of their subscriptions and invoices is attached to one. It is not a provider-side entity and does not hold services or pricing. See Billing Profiles.
