Legal Overview
The Komashi terms are modular. The General Terms apply to everyone; on top of them you are bound by the terms for each role in which you use the Platform — provider, partner, or customer.
All documents are v1.0, effective 2026-08-31. The official language of the Terms is English; any translation is provided for convenience only.
Everyone
| Document | What it covers |
|---|---|
| General Terms of Service | The common core: definitions, accounts, Komashi's role and non-involvement in payments, IP, liability, governing law, complaints. |
| Acceptable Use Policy | What you may and may not do on the Platform, and how Komashi enforces it. |
| Privacy Policy | How Komashi handles personal data under the UAE PDPL and the GDPR, including retention periods. |
| Cookie Notice | Which cookies are set, what each is for, and how to change your consent. |
| Currency Terms | Which currency you are invoiced in, how amounts are converted into USD, and who carries the conversion cost. |
| Supported Currencies | Schedule 1 to the Currency Terms — the exhaustive list of currencies you may invoice in. This Schedule governs. |
| Platform Guidelines | Schedule 1 to the Acceptable Use Policy — how to do things well, and the practical detail behind the AUP's rules. |
| Brand Guidelines | Binding rules for using the Komashi name and logo. Providers and Partners are both required to follow them. |
If you sell through Komashi
| Document | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Provider Terms | Your agreement as a provider: your relationship with your customers, fees, billing and blocking, your responsibilities, termination. |
| Provider Fee Schedule | The binding commission rates, free allowance, and loyalty period. This Schedule governs — if a pricing page or calculator disagrees with it, the Schedule wins. |
| Data Processing Agreement | You are the controller of your customers' personal data and Komashi is your processor. This is the Article 28 GDPR agreement. |
| DPA Annexes 1–2 | Processing details and Komashi's technical and organizational security measures. |
| Sub-processors | The third parties Komashi uses to process personal data. |
If you refer providers
| Document | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Partner Terms | Your agreement as a referral partner: how referrals are attributed, commission, payouts, marketing obligations, termination. |
| Partner Commission Schedule | The binding Level 1 and Level 2 rates, commission period, and payout mechanics. This Schedule governs — rates shown only in the dashboard are not part of your agreement. |
If you buy from a provider
| Document | What it covers |
|---|---|
| End User Terms | Your contract is with the provider, not with Komashi. Covers payments, QR codes, cancellations and refunds, complaints, and your consumer rights. |
| Model Withdrawal Form | The form to use if you withdraw from a contract with Komashi within the cooling-off period. |
Two things worth knowing up front
Komashi is not part of the money flow.
End User → Payment Provider → Provider
Payments go straight from the customer, through an independent licensed payment provider, to the provider. Komashi never holds, receives, or transmits that money, and is not a merchant of record or a payment service provider.
Your contract for a service is with the provider. Komashi supplies the software. The provider is responsible for the service itself — its description, price, quality, delivery, and legality — and for refunds and cancellations under its own policy.
The help pages elsewhere in this documentation explain how things work in practice. Where a help page and a legal document disagree, the legal document governs.
