How to delete your provider account

warning

Deleting your provider account stops your business on Komashi immediately and leads to permanent deletion of your data. Read this page carefully before proceeding.

How to delete your account

  1. Go to Settings → Basic. Basic Settings
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
  3. Click the Delete Provider button.
  4. Confirm the deletion.

Upgrade/Downgrade

What happens immediately after deletion

  • You can no longer sell. You cannot take new orders or issue new invoices, and your public storefront and provider presence are removed.
  • All API keys are invalidated immediately. Any system using your API keys will stop working.
  • Your widget becomes empty. Embedded widgets on your website will display nothing — no error, just blank.
  • Your subdomain is renamed. Your subdomain is renamed to yourbrand-deleted@timestamp.komashi.com and is held — not reassigned — for 60 days. After that, another provider can use it.

Soft delete: your read-only window

Deletion does not wipe your data on the spot. Your account first goes into a deactivated, non-public state called soft delete.

During soft delete you keep read-only access to your data — including your invoices and customer records — so you can review and export it. You cannot use the Platform actively.

After the retention period, your data is permanently deleted or irreversibly anonymized, except where the law requires it to be kept (for example accounting records).

note

The exact soft-delete, export, and deletion periods are set out in the Privacy Policy, which is the single governing source for retention periods. Export your data before the export window closes.

What happens to active subscribers

Customers with an active subscription keep their access until the end of their current billing period. A customer on a yearly plan will still have access for the remainder of that year.

After their billing period ends, the subscription expires naturally and they lose access.

note

No new subscriptions can be created after deletion. Existing ones run to their natural end.

What is NOT deleted

The following is retained for compliance and record-keeping:

  • Issued invoices and financial records, for the statutory retention period
  • Subscription history

Your customers keep their own copies of the invoices issued to them and their own subscription records, including when they subscribed.

What IS deleted

  • Your ability to use the Platform (soft delete first, then permanent deletion)
  • All API keys (invalidated immediately)
  • Your active subdomain (renamed, released after 60 days)
  • Your storefront and public pages
  • All provider settings and configurations

Your outstanding Komashi fees

Deleting your account does not cancel fees you already owe. Accrued Komashi fees remain payable.

Can I recover my account?

There is no automatic recovery process. If you deleted your account by mistake, contact Komashi support as soon as possible through the ? icon in the dashboard or via info@komashi.com. Recovery may be possible within a limited window after deletion, subject to review.

Before you delete — checklist

  • Export your data — invoices, customer records, financial records — within the export window
  • Notify your active customers
  • Remove the Komashi widget from your website
  • Revoke or archive any API key integrations
  • Make sure any outstanding payouts are processed

tip

If you only want to pause selling temporarily, consider disabling your storefront instead of deleting your account. Go to Settings → Manage services, open the service, and turn off Customer storefront in the Settings tab.
