Invoices belong to the order.

Eligible orders carry the information needed by the configured invoicing workflow.

What happens in an order

If no Billingo mapping exists for that tax treatment, the invoice is not created.

What to expect

  • Invoices are created through the Billingo API, using the API key and invoice block you enter in Komashi.
  • If a tax treatment has no Billingo mapping, the invoice is not created.
  • Invoices are requested after a payment succeeds. Payment collection stays with your payment provider.

Keep tax treatment consistent.

Use the tax details resolved and stored for the order where a supported Billingo mapping exists.

Follow the result.

See the invoice outcome in the subscription workflow where supported.

Countries
Billingo is an invoicing service. Which tax rules and invoice types apply depends on your Billingo account and business.
Currencies
Komashi passes the order currency to Billingo. Check Billingo's documentation for the currencies your account can invoice.
Payment methods
Billingo does not collect payments. Customers pay through your payment provider, and Billingo issues the invoice afterwards.

What Komashi uses

Komashi creates invoices through the Billingo v3 API with your API key and invoice block ID, using the tax details stored for the order.

Why choose Billingo

Choose Billingo when your invoices and customer records already live there and you want subscription invoices to follow each order.

Connect your Billingo account

  1. 1 In Billingo, create a V3 API key. Give it read and write access, because Komashi creates invoices.
  2. 2 Note the invoice block ID you want Komashi to issue from.
  3. 3 In Komashi's invoicing settings, choose Billingo, enter the key and block ID, set the due-date rule and run the connection test.
  4. 4 Enable Billingo for your space, then run one test invoice before you publish offers.

Limits to know

  • Komashi needs an invoice block ID and an API key with read and write access.
  • If an order's tax treatment has no Billingo mapping, Komashi does not create the invoice.
  • Komashi does not ask Billingo to email invoices to buyers.

Your Billingo account

You own the Billingo account, its credentials and its terms. Billingo decides eligibility, fees and which features are available to you. Invoicing requirements depend on your jurisdiction; this page is not legal or tax advice.

What Komashi does

Komashi passes the order and its tax details to your invoicing provider after a payment succeeds. Payment collection stays with your payment provider, and Komashi does not file or remit taxes.
