Choose the supported markets and treatments relevant to your services.

Komashi is not a Merchant of Record. It does not register, file or remit taxes on your behalf, and responsibility for your tax obligations stays with you as the seller.

Komashi does not provide automatic tax filing, always-current rules or full compliance in every country. Tax settings and VAT number checks do not replace tax advice, and supported countries and treatments vary, so check your settings before you sell in a new market.

Frequently asked questions

Does Komashi file VAT returns or OSS returns?

No. Komashi does not register, file or remit taxes for you. Returns and tax payments stay with your business.

Does a valid VAT number always mean reverse charge?

No. A valid VAT number is one condition. Reverse charge also depends on the buyer being in another EU country and on your setup for that billing country.

How are business VAT numbers checked?

For EU buyers, business VAT numbers are checked through the EU VIES service. Reverse charge also needs the buyer to be in another EU country.

What happens if your invoicing provider does not support a tax case?

Komashi does not invent a tax treatment for the invoice. The invoice is not issued automatically, and the error is kept on the order for review.
