How to connect Komashi to your AI tools

Add the Komashi MCP server to a compatible AI client, approve the sign-in, and start with a read-only question. The MCP developer page lists the server address and the full tool set.

Quick answer

Add the Komashi server address to your MCP client as a remote server, approve the sign-in in Komashi with the mcp:use scope, and ask a read-only question to confirm the connection works. Allow changes only after that check.

Copy the server address

Open the MCP developer page and copy the server address shown there. Use the main endpoint for the full tool set. The OpenAI endpoint leaves out the subscription-creation and plan-change tools.

Add it as a remote server

In your MCP client, add a remote server with that address and save it. Menus differ between clients, so use the client documentation to find where its server list lives.

Approve the sign-in

The client opens a Komashi sign-in page. Check the account and the mcp:use scope, then approve. Each call is checked against that account and the providers it can access.

Test with a read-only request

Ask the assistant to list your services or providers. Compare the answer with the Komashi dashboard before you ask for any change.

When this setup fits

  • Your AI client accepts a remote MCP server address.
  • Your Komashi account can access the providers you want the assistant to use.
  • You want live answers from Komashi, with changes that you review first.

A practical example

A bookkeeper adds the Komashi server to their AI client, approves the sign-in with their own account and asks which customers renew this month. The answer matches the dashboard. Later they ask for a draft of a new package. The assistant returns a summary link, and nothing is created until the bookkeeper approves it in Komashi. This example is illustrative, not a customer case.

How Komashi fits

Komashi provides the MCP server and enforces your account permissions on every call. Setup requests return a draft summary that you review in Komashi. The ChatGPT app is a separate integration with its own limits, so check the difference on the developer page before you choose.

Before you allow changes

  • Review the tool list on the MCP developer page to see which tools change or remove data.
  • Check the provider and the customer before you approve any change.
  • Remove the connection from your client, or revoke it under Connections in your Komashi account settings, when it is no longer needed.
  • Access tokens last one hour and refresh tokens last 180 days, so a reconnect may ask you to sign in again.
